Diabetes: How I Freed Myself from the Disease

RachelHello, my name is Lisa and after a recent visit with my doctor, I was told I have diabetes.  My doctor also told me this condition would be with me for life.  I like to think I am a positive person, so I think that it is within my power to become healthy again.  Sometimes diabetes is the result of genetics, it can be inherited, but I don’t think I am one of those people.

I have always been someone who likes to learn more, so I did my research when it came to this condition.  What I found was nothing short of amazing.

One thing that I thought was interesting was the large amount of patients who have diabetes, I just had no idea how frequently this disease struck.

At first, I had some ignorance about my condition but it didn’t take long to learn more about diabetes.  In fact, I think I’ve been somewhat of an expert just through reading materials online.  I will say that due to some of the medical jargon, it was a little hard to grasp at times.

I found the best method to be simply reading and then thinking about what I read, giving myself time to understand it completely.

For example, did you know that the liver is capable of creating a hormone that creates and effect much like insulin growth factor (IGF).  The liver actually helps with regulating glucose, it truly is amazing!

This little piece of information gave me a lot of hope and also the idea that I wouldn’t suffer from diabetes forever or be locked into taking pills for the rest of my life.  This is great because I also wouldn’t have to deal with side effects either.

My research has empowered me to take control of my diabetes and also to fix the situation without the intervention of medicine.  This concept allowed me to get rid of my diabetes forever and all it took was a few months.

The fact that my diabetes is completely gone has been diagnosed by a doctor, this healthcare professional was almost in shock at the quick turnaround I experiences.  I even opted to have another doctor look into it, to confirm from multiple sources.  Both confirmed my diabetes was gone!

At first, my physician was skeptical, he had no idea that eliminating diabetes in this way was even possible.  After all my research, it wasn’t a surprise to me at all.  It is apparent that companies who sell the prescriptions make a fortune on the control of diabetes through pills.  Of course they don’t want people to take control using other methods.

All it would take if for these large pharmaceutical companies to take advantage of the IGF solution and results would be almost instantaneous.  However, we should remember that IGF occurs in our bodies so we have the cure within ourselves.

I just want to say, though, that this treatment may not work for everyone with diabetes.  But, for my personal type of diabetes, I am happy to report that I no longer have to take prescription pills to control my condition.

You can also increase the natural formation of IGF with some changes to your lifestyle and your diet.

For your convenience, take a look at this video that provides a lot of useful information.  They are good for you and work in tandem to control your diabetes.  This is easy to do and by using the information you’ll be on your way to curing your diabetes.

  1. Hello Ruth, we have just found out that my father has type 2 diabetes. He eats the way he used to all his life but still has lost three stones which is very upsetting for both my mother and me, I wanted to improve his diet with some high-calorie foods but it turned out they all contain loads of sugar. This book you recommended-does it really offer realistic advice on how to get rid of diabetes? Strangely, his doctor seems unconcerned that my father has become so famished.

    • This book offers a practical and simple solution to diabetes treatment. I had a back injury about a year ago which seriously limited my ability to move and exercise. As a result diabetes developed but as a specialist in physical therapy, I came across cases of incorrectly treated diabetic patients. So I conducted a thorough online research and bought a few books on diabetes management to understand the issue properly. All the information stressed the importance of self-discipline, and in the beginning I thought that the requirements were too strict and hard to follow, but gradually, after more reading, I realized that it all was in fact simple and, moreover, it made perfect medical sense. So I tried it and the results were spectacular: I lost 24lb.in a fortnight, my blood pressure dropped to a healthy 110/70 from 140/90 and the same happened with my blood sugar levels; down to 115-118 from 150/160.I strongly advise that any person suffering from diabetes read this book.

  2. Thanks for sharing, best diabetes book so far , recommended to me by my doctor. I love this book. I am a diabetic. This new way of eating does work. I am losing weight, removing toxins and the brain fog that contributes to my anxiety attacks is gone. My glucose numbers are regulating. This book is a God send!

  3. Hi Ruth – I was so glad to see your review because my husband goes up and down with his sugar and the doctor is ALWAYS trying to get him to take Metaforin. Because of you and your super review – I’m going to order this book and check out the website and we’re going to give this our best shot. I have just one crucial question – My husband is taking Red Yeast Rice for his cholesterol but it’s still 254 … how much Red Yeast Rice do you take a day and what brand do you take?
Thanks so much for your encouraging review.

    • I’ve stopped taking red yeast rice. It’s a natural statin and like Lipitor, it’s artifical cousin, can cause other problems. My body started aching all over. Everything hurt. I’ve never been beaten up but, if I had, I think that’s how I would feel. Like Lipitor, it can lower cholesterol but, in my mind, like Lipitor, not worth the side effects. I’d been taking it…again… for about 3 – 4 months. Medical profession is rethinking cholesterol. Might not be as bad as they thought.

  4. Hi Ruth. I’m glad you are still going strong. I was evaluating some books to see if these books on reversing diabetes (I’m getting close to being pre-diabetic) would be worth starting. Then I came across this book which appears to be less restrictive with same outcome. I did ask other friends who follow this book if they are still on it. Your reply is very encouraging and thanks for the other suggestions. That is something worth looking into. Again, thanks very much and continued success. Beer Pongger

  5. Ruth,
I bought this book because of a recommendation from a friend. They had recommended the eat to live book, it was like it was written for me. I’m a diabetic, with high cholesterol and blood pressure and I’m overweight, surprise.
Anyways I read the first section of this book and took the plunge. Here I am only two weeks after an I have stopped my insulin which was at over 60 units a day and my fasting blood glucose is now under 100 most mornings.
I haven’t even started exercising yet.
I can guarantee, if you can eat the way this book describes then it will work. Granted I want a cheeseburger pretty bad, but I think that too shall pass.
Thank you for sharing your amazing story!
    Terry

  6. HI, I saw this on other websites and plan on purchasing it. When you started, did you stop your meds? Or did you use the same med dosages while using this method? Thank you

    • I continued to use my metformin as prescribed. In about 3 – 4 months I reduced it by half…with my doctor’s approval. At the end of about 6 – 7 months I stopped taking it altogether. Also with my doctor’s approval. It’s now been almost two years and my blood sugar is normal. Although I test my blood sugar daily, my blood tests have been reduced from quarterly to bi-annual.
